The boarding cattery, which was started by the late Veronica Huthwaite in 1958, is licensed by Shepway District Council to board 120 cats. It is run by Seathwaite Boarding Cattery Ltd, a trading company wholly owned by the charity, and all profits are covenanted to the parent charity.
Visitors are welcome to inspect the cattery during opening hours. There are individual pens accommodating one, two, three or more cats. A feature of the cattery is the really generous size of the pens, ensuring that each cat has ample space for exercise and fresh air. Each pen has a thermostatically controlled heated bed and extra heat panel for chilly periods.

Everything necessary for the cats comfort is provided, but we are delighted for owners to bring in something from home, such as toys or a well loved blanket. We MUST see an up-to-date vaccination certificate on arrival. Wet and dry food is provided unless your cat is on a special prescription diet. You are welcome to bring it's own food if the cat should be fussy, but there will be no reduction in boarding fees.

We have an arrangement with our vet to get immediate attention if a cat should become ill.
The boarding cattery is quickly booked up for Easter, summer holidays and Christmas, so early booking is essential. We reserve the right to ask for a 50% deposit on booking – not refundable if less than 7 days notice of cancellation is given.
Customers please note: We cannot accept for boarding any cat which has not been vaccinated against feline enteritis and cat flu within the last 12 months. Certificates must be produced before cats are admitted. We shall refuse to admit a cat if a current certificate is not produced.
